The long-awaited Black Canary bishoujo statue is on the way to join the rest of the DC Comics bishoujo statues! First appearing in 1947 in Flash Comics #87 (reprinted in Black Canary, The – Archives, Volume 1 (Archive DC Editions), Black Canary has gone through many incarnations but has endured as one of DC’s most iconic characters.
This statue shows the Black Canary after hand to hand combat, stretching to the sky triumphantly. She is wearing her classic black costume. Featured in a form-fitting bodysuit, the Canary also wears her famous black jacket, gloves and high-heel boots. Most noticeable, however, are the fishnet black stockings that have become synonymous with the Black Canary! Her blonde hair (a wig in the comic books), adds brilliant contrast to the dark heroine’s look.
Designed by Shunya Yamashita and sculpted by M.I.C., the Black Canary bishoujo statue stands just under 10 inches tall (1/7 scale) on her uniquely designed display base.
