Kotobukiya presents the next character in their Street Fighter line of bishoujo statues — Karin! She joins the ever-growing collection of competitors in this figurine set inspired by the popular video game series.

Karin’s History

Karin’s first appearance in the Street Fighter video game releases was in Street Fighter Alpha 3. She battles using the Kanzuki-ryu fighting style and is considered to be the rival of Sakura. Karin is the head of Kanzuki Zaibatsu, a financial family empire.

She fights for the side of good, though she does have a superior outlook due to her wealth and power. In her first battle with Sakura, Karin lost, which ended a long run of wins for her. In their next confrontation, Karin won over Sakura, and she discovered that, in life, there can be nobility beyond simply winning a fighting match.

Karin has relationships with other Street Fighter characters in the bishoujo line, such as Ibuki, who served as Karin’s bodyguard for a time. Karin is also a friend of Chun-Li, and Karin has a deep respect for the fight skills of Cammy.

About the Karin Bishoujo Statue

The Street Fighter Karin bishoujo statue is a very detailed and colorful figurine. Karin’s pose is light and playful, and her attitude is happy and vibrant. The character has long, bright yellow (blonde) hair, with the ends curled in a noodle-like fashion. The hairstyle is lifting as Karin is motion, which is also suggested by the blue bow in the back of her hair which is whipping in the air.

The expression on Karin’s face is one of joy and surprise. Her eyes are wide open, as is her mouth which also expresses the slightest smile. She is lifting her left arm in a half/surprise, half/defensive measure. She is wearing a black and maroon wristguard, fingerless glove combo on both hands to assist her in combat.

Karin’s school uniform is bright red. The short-sleeved shirt stops just above her stomach, exposing her muscular core. A blue scarf wraps around her collar and also dances in the motion of her movement. She wears a black skin-tight shirt underneath. Karin’s skirt is also red, and beneath the skirt, she is wearing black shorts.

On her feet, Karin is wearing black socks beneath special-cuffed bright red boots. She stands on a clear pedestal. The height of the Karin statue is slightly over 9 inches tall.
