Directed by Tim Burton in 1988, Beetlejuice is a classic film. It has thrived and there have been many adaptations from toys to cartoons. The movie is about a couple who have become deceased due to an accident after moving into their new home. After the home is resold, they try to scare the buyers away but need Beetlejuice – an untrustworthy but successfully scary ghost – to help drive the new family from their home.
This was a very successful movie after coming out and made such a hit that there was talk about a second movie, though unfortunately, nothing happened with it. Beetlejuice is known and loved for its one movie and macabre concepts.
About the Beetlejuice Bishoujo Statue
Now comes this striking female version of a Beetlejuice bishoujo statue. Beetlejuice is a feisty poltergeist that is always looking for some fun at other people’s expense, a bit of a trickster if you will. The original Beetlejuice character is a male, but this delightfully swapped version is a female and this statue wears the Beetlejuice outfit with ease and grace. Beetlejuice dresses in a classic black and white striped outfit with crazy green hair and a rambunctious attitude. This female version wears it proud.
Mostly out for herself, Beetlejuice causes all kinds of mischief and chaos for personal gains which ended up not paying off in the end. Sculpted by Ohata Masato and illustrated/designed by Shunya Yamashita, this female Beetlejuice version statue from Kotobukiya company portrays the beautiful detail of her makeup and her hair. Her outfit shows just how mischievous she can be with her cunning looks and playful smile as she leans against a tombstone. Her tailcoat sweeps over the tombstone in a wispy manner while she looks to do her nails.
This 8.39-inch Kotobukiya Horror Bishoujo series statue is a great addition for any collector. The materials used for this statue are ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) and PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride).
