Street Fighter Sakura Round 2 Bishoujo Statue
Presenting Sakura
The Sakura Round 2 bishoujo statue from Kotobukiya features the second representation of Sakura in the bishoujo line of statues. The first version was released in 2014. This version is a more serious, action-ready pose, highlighting the battle-ready nature of Sakura’s personality. The Street Fighter line continues to grow and this statue is another great entry to the series. Sakura has always been a popular character in the Street Fighter video game incarnations, and adding a second version of the character to this line is proof that Sakura’s popularity is ever on the rise!
Sakura’s History
Sakura’s first appearance in the Street Fighter series was in the game Street Fighter Alpha 2, which was released in 1996. She was created by Akira ‘Akiman’ Yasuda. She is a high school student who is inspired by the Street Fighter Ryu. In Street Fighter Alpha 2, she meets Ryu, but her idol explains to her that he cannot take her on as a student because he has so many things to left to learn.
About the Sakura Round 2 Bishoujo Statue
The Street Fighter Sakura bishoujo statue features the character in a standing pose with her arms raised above her head, her hands together. The tethers of her headband whip about her from the seeming wind. Her legs are spread apart, and her body seems relaxed yet ready for what may come next.
The colors of her outfit are bright. Sakura wears a custom school uniform that is predominantly white. The collar of her shirt is blue, as is the trim on her shirt sleeves. Her skirt is the same blue color. She wears a yellow scarf around her collar. Beneath her school shirt is a form-fitting red activewear top.
The red matches the fighting wrist guards she wears, as well as her bright red sneakers that show beneath thick white turned down socks. As stated, Sakura wears a white headband that peaks beneath her drooped hairstyle. Her eyes are brown, peering outward, with a slight smile beneath her nose. She stands on a clear platform display.
The Sakura Round 2 bishoujo statue is designed by Shunya Yamshita and sculpted by Tsubame. Add the second Sakura figurine to your Street Fighter collection today!
