NYCC 2018 Street Fighter Chun-Li Battle Costume Limited Edition Bishoujo Statue
Kotobukiya presents the Street Fighter Chun-Li Battle Costume Limited Edition bishoujo statue. This figurine was made available at the New York 2018 Comic Convention (NYCC 2018).
Chun-Li is one of the stars of the Street Fighter video game franchise. She first debuted in the Street Fighter II game in 1991. This new limited version statue, as well as the original version, feature an original design by Shunya Yamashita. Chun-Li is poised in a battle-ready position. She is balanced on one foot, and her other leg is bent high in the air. The suddenness of her movement makes her costume tails fold in the air, and her hair wraps behind her head. She wears spiked bracelets meant for doing damage to any opponent. The look on her face is an expression of deep focus and keen observation of her surroundings. Her hair is braided on the sides, just one facet of the extreme detail sculpted into the statue. Chun-Li’s musculature is defined very stylistically, as she is presented as a finely honed weapon, ready for battle.
This Chun-Li bishoujo statue is a variant of the previous Chun-Li bishoujo release. There are differences between the two statues. This new version features a metallic paint treatment on the costume, and the color of the battle costume is now a vibrant blue that delivers a brilliant contrast against Chun Li’s pale skin. This statue is a great alternative to those who missed out on the original version, or for the completist collector, an opportunity to enhance your assortment of Street Fighter characters.
Designed by Shunya Yamashita and sculpted by Takaboku Busujima (BUSUJIMAX), this statue shares the same technical specifications as the standard version. It is 1/10 scale and has a total height of 230mm.
